Sean Eugene Bradley – ULMD President & CEO

 

Sean Bradley is the President and CEO of the Urban League of Metropolitan Denver. He is also the Co-Founder of Bradley Capitol Enterprises, LLC in Denver Colorado.  Prior to serving as President and CEO of Bradley Capitol Enterprises, he served as National Director of Legislative Affairs for the American Federation for Children (AFC). AFC is a national education reform group, based in Washington D.C.  Prior to working for AFC, Sean was the Director of Governmental Affairs for the Colorado League of Charter Schools.

He has worked for two Members of the United States Congress in Washington DC as well as in Texas. Before moving to Colorado, Sean served as the Legislative and District Director for Texas State Representative Ruth Jones McClendon of San Antonio. He was worked in the Colorado State Capitol for Former House Speaker Andrew Romanoff of Denver.

Sean has received numerous awards including: Texas Young Democrat of the Year; Texas Rising Star Award, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Southwestern Province Polemarch Award; Delta Sigma Theta (Lufkin/Nacogdoches) Alumni Chapter Community Service Award; 2010 Polemarch’s Award, Man of the Year 2011 by the Denver Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. The Guy L. Grant Award of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity. The Guy L. Grant Award is highest recognized national award given to an undergraduate in the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity.

Sean has also made history by being the first African American elected Student Body President at Stephen F. Austin State University and was elected the First African American to elected President of the Texas Young Democrats.

He currently sits on a number of boards and commissions including Member of the Shorter Community AME Church Steward Board of Directors, Denver Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Executive Committee, and Secretary and Advisory Board Member at High Point Academy Charter School in Aurora, Colorado. He is a member of the Denver Parks and Recreations Committee and a member of the Green Valley Ranch Citizens Advisory Committee and serves as Secretary to the Board.

Sean is former President of the Denver Urban League Young Professionals and former Regional Vice President of the National Urban League Young Professionals.

He served as Deputy Chief of Staff to the 32nd Grand Polemarch of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., William Randy Bates, Jr.

Sean earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from Stephen F. Austin State University and a Masters Degree in Public Administration from the University of Colorado at Denver.

He enjoys reading, playing golf, and traveling with his wife Voletha. He and Voletha have two sons, Ayden Eugene Bradley and Jaxon Benjamin Bradley.
