ULMD Guild

About Us

We are an auxiliary to the Urban League of Metropolitan Denver and an affiliate with the National Council of Urban League Guilds. Our purpose is to:

  • encourage volunteer participation in carrying out our mission
  • promote the general welfare of our community through educational, cultural and social activities
  • promote a better understanding among all people about the ULMD

Our Programs

One of our major programs is the Book Scholarship Program. We award 4 scholarships in the amount of $1,000 to students with a major or minor in Africana Studies and students with a major or minor in science, technology, engineering, or math studies attending Metropolitan State University of Denver.

We are also involved in our community by being reading partners in local schools, providing Thanksgiving and Christmas gift baskets to families in need, and promoting Lupus Awareness day.
